Dream Chaser Youth Club (DCYC), founded in 2016, is a Community Interest Company dedicated to fostering youth development and community cohesion in East Birmingham. Our mission is to empower young people, particularly from African, Afro-Caribbean, and other diverse backgrounds, through sports, mentorship, and educational opportunities. We actively address key challenges such as youth crime, unemployment, and barriers to cultural integration.
Our club engages approximately 800 individuals weekly across various activities, with a total membership list of over 3,000 young people and their families. Our core activities include weekly sports sessions (football and basketball), leadership workshops, mentoring programs, and educational support. These initiatives provide positive pathways for youth, helping reduce social exclusion and crime.
