Loconomy Logo

Loconomy is a new Community Benefit Society based in St Paul’s Centre in Bordesley Green, East Birmingham. A spin-off from The Pioneer Group with a proven track record in delivering diverse programmes in East Birmingham, Loconomy has assembled a team of individual community associates and partner organisations – including Co-Operative Futures and the Community Environmental Trust (CET) – to deliver its programme.

Our mission is to create social justice by building strong local economies. We work in partnership with local community anchor organisations and are excited by the opportunity to collaborate with ten organisations in an action learning network.

We strive to build bridges between communities and public and private sector institutions to create employment pathways, and we have played a key role as one of several referral agencies supporting University Hospital Trust on their ICAN entry-level jobs programme.

In addition, we are working in six East Birmingham schools, providing coach mentoring services to cohorts of year 10 and year 11 pupils.
